COVID-19 Updates: CCAPS and the University

54th Annual ASC International Conference

  • Fee: $395 (until March 20, 2018; $595 thereafter) for ASC members and grad/undergrad presenters. Non-ASC member and Industry Day Only fees are also available. See details in registration section.

Gather among industry professionals to discuss up-to-date curricula, best teaching practices, and current management models in the construction industry. 

The ASC is an organization of educators and industry practitioners working together for the development and advancement of construction education. It promotes the sharing of ideas and knowledge and inspires, guides, and promotes excellence in curricula, teaching, research, and service.

The 2018 ASC Conference is hosted by Construct*ium, an Upper Midwest Construction Program Consortium, and held at Graduate Minneapolis on the University of Minnesota East Bank campus .

Online Registration

Use the online registration when registering a single person and paying with a credit card. After registering online you will receive “Registration Confirmation” and “Receipt” emails from ccapsconf5@umn.edu (check your Spam folder if you don’t see them in your email inbox).

Paper Registration 

Use the paper registration form when registering multiple people, registering someone other than yourself, or when you need to have the registration fee billed to your organization.

Conference Fees

The conference fee for ASC members and grad/undergrad presenters is $395 (until March 20, 2018; $595 thereafter) and $495 (until March 20, 2018; $695 thereafter) for non-ASC members. If you are registering a guest using separate payment, please call 612-625-2900 or fax the paper form to 612-624-5359. 

To register for the Construct*ium Pentathlon and Leadership Summit Academy on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, visit the Minnesota Construction Association's website (the first 25 faculty members' registration will be sponsored by Construct*ium).

Cancellation Policy

If you need to cancel your registration, a refund minus $30 will be issued if you cancel by April 3, 2018.  Cancellations after this date will not be eligible for a refund. Please email ccapsconf5@umn.edu to cancel your registration, or fax a request to 612-624-5359.

All ASC conference activities will take place in the Graduate Minneapolis. Sessions, posters, lunches, and breaks will all take place in the meeting space in the hotel.


Graduate Minneapolis is offering a discounted room rate to ASC 2018 registrants.

$170 single or double occupancy

These rates are available until March 18, 2018 or until the room block fills, whichever comes first. Getting Here

In addition to taxis and car service, here are some other transportation options:

Light Rail

Light-rail service is available to the Graduate Minneapolis from the Minneapolis/St. Paul airport. From the airport take the Minneapolis/Target Field Blue Line to the US Bank Stadium Station, then transfer to the St. Paul/Union Depot Green Line and, after a short 5 minute ride, exit at the East Bank Station. The East Bank Station is across the street from The Commons Hotel. Trains operate 24 hours a day, seven days a week, and run approximately every 10−15 minutes. The trip from the airport to the East Bank Station generally takes 35−45 minutes. One-way fare is $2.00−2.50 depending on time of day. View information and route map.
