Amy Lee came to the U of M to be part of the General College, whose mission of access, equity, and social justice resonated with her teaching and scholarship. Her four most recent books focus on intercultural pedagogy and engaging diversity in undergraduate education: Learning College (forthcoming); Teaching Interculturally (2017, Stylus); Engaging Dissonance (2017, Emerald); and Engaging Diversity in Undergraduate Classrooms (2012, ASHE). She has taught first-year writing and basic writing, US literature, multicultural literature, graduate teaching practicum, and doctoral seminars in critical and feminist pedagogy, composition theory, and research methods. She is a recipient of the University of Massachusetts Amherst's Distinguished Teaching Award and the University of Minnesota’s Morse Alumni Award for Outstanding Contributions to Undergraduate Education.
