Carolyn Llorens is the Human Resources Director at the College of Continuing and Professional Studies, appointed in August 2018. For the past 11 years, she has held different positions in human resources and administration at the University of Minnesota. Originally from Puerto Rico, Carolyn came to Minnesota to attend the U of M. In between completing her undergraduate degree and starting her role at the University in 2008, Carolyn served in the Minnesota Army National Guard, completing a tour of duty in Iraq.
In her role as Director of Human Resources, Carolyn is responsible for implementation of University policies and projects, serving as an advisor to leadership and supervisors on employee relations matters and generally gauging the collegiate climate and engagement levels.
Carolyn is very active in the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources (CUPA-HR) at a local and national level. She is currently in the 2019−2020 Emerging CUPA-HR Leader cohort, an immersive leadership program.
