About This Course
This course is a transformative 14-week journey into the future of healthcare leadership. It is an interdisciplinary exploration of the ways artificial intelligence and cutting-edge innovation can be harnessed to build more sustainable, equitable, and efficient healthcare systems. Students will gain a strategic understanding of AI technologies—predictive analytics, digital platforms, generative models—and how they intersect with environmental sustainability, operational efficiency, and health equity. Through real-world case studies, hands-on projects, and insights from global health organizations, students will learn to navigate the complex challenges of modern healthcare while designing solutions that are innovative, tech-enabled, people-centric, and planet-conscious. Key themes include:
- AI-driven solutions for population health and personalized care
- Sustainable operations and green healthcare infrastructure
- Innovation ecosystems and design thinking in healthcare
- Health equity, digital inclusion, and responsible innovation
- Regulatory frameworks and ethical considerations in tech-enabled healthcare.
By the end of the course, students will be equipped to assess and propose forward-thinking strategies that align technological advancement and innovation with sustainable and equitable healthcare goals.

Ms. Davis is the operations administrator for the Mayo Clinic Comprehensive Cancer Center and Department of Urology at Mayo Clinic in Arizona. She previously held leadership roles within Mayo Clinic, HonorHealth, and the City of Hope Comprehensive Cancer Center, for service lines including hematology, blood and marrow transplant, cellular therapy, gynecology, dermatology, and psychiatry/psychology. She focuses on empowering and leading multidisciplinary teams to accomplish program development, innovation, quality improvement, and service line growth. Rebecca is an instructor of healthcare administration in the Mayo Clinic School of Medicine and Science, Fellow of the American College of Healthcare Executives (FACHE), and Prosci® Certified Change Management Professional.

Chelsea Steinborn has worked in the provider, payer, and health technology spaces leading diverse teams and projects. She has spent several years at both Virginia Mason Franciscan Health in Seattle and Medtronic leading consulting work with other health systems, where she developed innovative solutions in practice transformation, digital health, and operational excellence. She has also worked at a health insurance startup (Surest, a UnitedHealthcare company) leading provider network strategy and strategic efforts to build brand awareness among health systems and create operational infrastructure for provider services. Also, she has worked on the virtual care strategy and implementation for digital health partners in clinical areas such as diabetes and maternity care. With her engineering background, Chelsea brings a practical, problem-solving approach and lean expertise to healthcare.
