About This Course

This course covers the family life cycle, communication patterns, family dynamics, multigenerational patterns, systems theory/interventions for appropriate use of family resources to enhance intervention, treatment, family/individual functioning, and maintenance processes. It examines working with families with mental illness, substance use, and co-occurring disorders.
