About This Course

The project development seminar is designed to guide you through the development, completion, and approval of an MdS project proposal. In the online class sessions, tutorials, and individual communications with the instructor, you will learn the steps and skills of academic project design and development, including academic research and writing, and library database searching methods and citation styles.

Sample textbook: The Craft of Research (4th ed.), Booth, Colomb, and Williams.

Lisa Garrett, M.S., M.Ed., has a background in business education, instructional design, training facilitation and consulting, and program evaluation. She has been advising and teaching undergraduate students at the University of Minnesota since 2001. Her academic interests include reflective and experiential learning practices, building online learning communities, and teaching and learning models for adult learners.
