Instructor

Betty Tapias-Heinrich is a Spanish interpreter with over 15 years of experience, currently working full time for Robbinsdale Area Schools as the Welcome Center and Language Access Services Coordinator. She has completed both the legal and medical specializations of the Certificate in Interpreting and developed the equivalent courses for the Special Education certificate track. She has also taken the Interpreter Trainer Training course and has been actively involved in teaching and developing interpreter courses provided both in the Twin Cities area and greater Minnesota since 2006. She holds a master's degree in educational leadership from Concordia University.
