Environmental Health and Safety Minor

The Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) minor provides the knowledge and skills necessary to successfully manage and administer safety programs. All of the required courses, and some of the electives, are available online, making it possible for the entire minor to be taken online and/or remotely.


The EHS minor is available to any student currently enrolled in an undergraduate degree program at the University of Minnesota.

  • 45 earned credits
  • 2.5+ GPA

With approval of the program, up to 7 credits of transfer coursework may be used to satisfy requirements for this minor. See Course Catalog with links to course descriptions.
