Debra Wamsley

Debra is a resident faculty member and Director of Graduate Studies of the Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health and the Master of Professional Studies in Addictions Counseling programs. She has developed integrated mental health and substance abuse curriculum and academic programming, as well as provided counselor training. Debra has over 35 years of experience as a clinician and manager in the addictions field where she delivered substance abuse clinical care for a range of clients. She has worked with adolescents and adults facing substance abuse and co-occurring mental health concerns through a variety of stages, including prevention, primary care, and continuing care. She completed her Alcohol and Drug Abuse Counselor training at the University of Minnesota and earned her master’s from St. Mary’s University.

Ann Becher-Ingwalson Photo

Ann Becher-Ingwalson

In addition to being a resident faculty member, Ann is also the Internship Liaison to the Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health and the Master of Professional Studies in Addictions Counseling. She teaches a number of courses in the IBH and ADDC programs while serving as a valuable resource for students navigating the internship program. Since 1994, her primary focus has been working with children, adolescents, and families. Ann holds a dual license as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor from the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy. She received her PsyD from Capella University.

Fiyyaz Karim

Fiyyaz Karim

Fiyyaz is a resident faculty member in the Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health and Master of Professional Studies in Addictions Counseling programs. Prior to working in higher education, Fiyyaz was employed in a variety of community mental health outpatient settings, many geared towards addressing the needs of underserved and minority populations. His clinical interests include identity development, grief and loss, social justice issues, health psychology, trauma, and PTSD. He has conducted professional trainings and presented at conferences on a wide array of diversity issues including microaggressions, cultural appropriation, and racial identity. He holds a PsyD from the University of St. Thomas, and a BS in both Sociology and Psychology from the University of Minnesota.

ThanhVan Vu Photo

ThanhVan Vu

Van is a resident faculty member in the Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health and Master of Professional Studies in Addictions Counseling programs. She is also a graduate of the Integrated Behavioral Health program. She has a wide variety of experience with chemical health treatment, including outpatient and inpatient, LGBT-specific treatment, methadone maintenance treatment, and detox. She uses an interpersonal, humanistic approach to counseling in her practice, and believes it is important to work collaboratively with her patients, defining goals and hopes for the counseling process together. Van is interested in cultural competence, integration of care, co-occurring disorders, harm reduction, supervision, ethics, prevention, and diagnosis.

Jennifer Weigelt

Jennifer is a resident faculty member in the Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health and Master of Professional Studies in Addictions Counseling programs. She is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor with the Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy. She has over 15 years of experience providing services to a diverse group of individuals with co-occurring disorders, including ten years of experience in a supervisory role. Her clinical interests include working with adolescents and adults who have engaged in sexually abusive behaviors, forensic assessment and evaluation, psychological testing, and clinical supervision. She holds a PhD in clinical psychology from Walden University.

Sarah Cook

Sarah advises students in the Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health and Master of Professional Studies in Addictions Counseling. She has been with the College of Continuing & Professional Studies since 2000. She holds a BS from CCAPS Inter-College Program (studio arts, art history, architecture) and an M.Ed. from the College of Education and Human Development.
