Lab Kits for Distance Learning Science Courses

Length
60 minutes
Type
Exhibitor Showcase Session
Location
55

Perhaps the greatest challenge in putting a science course online is how to provide a laboratory experience comparable to that enjoyed by on-campus students. Videos and simulations can be useful, but kits enable online students to undertake hands-on, rigorous, engaging, and safe investigations at home. Attendees will have the opportunity to carry out a distance-learning lab kit activity. Lab kits for distance learning can be safe and affordable. A lab kit can be unique to a particular course: instructor choice is vital. Lab activities carried out at home can be engaging and rigorous.
