About This Course
This course will provide an overview of the practice of supervision and identify its role in meeting the current demands of the practice environment.
The course is based on sound practice principles and offers a comprehensive framework for understanding the administrative, educational, and supportive functions of supervision.
The main topics covered in this course are:
Supervisory techniques and relationship
Styles and methods of supervision
Legal, ethical, and theoretical issues related to clinical supervision and consultation
Development of supervisory services that are skilled and sensitive to individual differences and diversity
Instructor
Ann is a resident faculty member and Internship Liaison for the Master of Professional Studies in Integrated Behavioral Health and the Master of Professional Studies in Addictions Counseling programs. She teaches a number of courses in the IBH and ADDC programs while serving as a valuable resource for students navigating the internship program. Since 1994, her primary focus has been working with children, adolescents, and families. Ann holds a dual license as a Licensed Alcohol and Drug Counselor and as a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor from the Minnesota Board of Behavioral Health and Therapy. She received her PsyD from Capella University.
