This 60-minute tax update will examine recent tax law changes that affect practitioners for the upcoming 2017 income tax return season. The update will include a legislative summary of current and last-minute tax legislation passed by Congress. In addition, we'll also address practitioner strategies for the 2017 tax filing season.

The webinar will be led by C. Robert (Rob) Holcomb, EA, extension educator, Agricultural Business Management.
Rob joined the University of Minnesota Extension as an educator in agricultural business management in October 2004. He works on the development and delivery of programs in the areas of farm business and risk management with emphasis on farm analysis and farm tax issues. Previously, he worked for Farm Bureau service companies in Iowa and Tennessee, delivering income tax and analysis services to Farm Bureau members. Rob is a graduate of Iowa State University with a degree in agricultural education. He also holds an enrolled agent designation with the Internal Revenue Service and is currently working toward a master of education degree from the University of Minnesota−Duluth.
