About This Course

This course provides an in-depth exploration of the financial structures, policies, and economic factors that shape long-term care. This course examines the various mechanisms for funding—government programs like Medicaid and Medicare, private insurance options, out-of-pocket spending, and emerging financing models. Students will critically analyze the limitations and efficiencies of existing public and private LTC financing systems, exploring how demographic trends, economic pressures, and evolving care needs impact policy decisions and financial viability.
