Faculty Director, Applied Business
The College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) at the University of Minnesota is dedicated to providing high-quality, flexible, and career-relevant education to a diverse student body. As a leader in innovative undergraduate programming, CCAPS offers a dynamic learning environment that prepares students for success in a rapidly evolving workforce.
The Faculty Director will provide academic leadership and strategic direction for the fully online (asynchronous) Applied Business (ABUS) program within CCAPS. This pivotal role involves overseeing course development, ensuring pedagogical excellence, and managing faculty engagement. The Director will play a key role in shaping the future of the ABUS program at CCAPS, ensuring the program remains responsive to evolving needs and provides exceptional learning experiences for all students.
Program Management Adjunct Teaching Specialist
The Adjunct Teaching Specialist is a temporary (per course), part-time, nontenured position for our Professional Development and Lifelong Learning Programs. The Program Management Adjunct Teaching Specialist will be responsible for developing and teaching one or more of the following course topics: Data and Evaluation for Program Management (first course starting June 2026), Financial Stewardship and Resource Management (first course starting August 2026), Program Leadership (first course starting October 2026).
Change Management Program Lead
The Change Management Program Lead is a temporary, part-time, non-tenured position for our Professional Development and Lifelong Learning Programs. The Program Lead is responsible for aligning the program with the skill needs in the program’s industry or occupation. This will include interviewing other industry experts, recommending program-level curriculum (i.e. program name, program description, program outcomes, outcomes for the courses that comprise the program), participating in course SME and instructor search committees, advising course SMEs and instructors, and recommending program and course revisions.
Teaching Specialist Undergraduate Individualized Degrees
This part-time faculty position is responsible for University of Minnesota online course instruction as appointed by the Individualized Degrees Unit in the College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS). The teaching specialist in this role co-teaches the ICP 4101 Senior Experience course. The position includes requirements for teaching, course curriculum updates, and professional development. Teaching Specialists report to the Director of Undergraduate Programs and are typically contracted on a semester basis to teach at least one course per academic year.
Teaching Specialist Undergraduate Construction Management
Construction Management (CMGT) Teaching Specialists are part-time faculty responsible for Construction Management (CMGT) course instruction as contracted by the Undergraduate Applied and Professional Studies (uAPS) unit in the College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS). CMGT Teaching Specialists report to the faculty director of the CMGT program and are typically employed on a semester-by-semester basis to teach at least once in an academic year in either a full semester (14 week) or half semester (7 week) course, and in a few cases, once every two years with rotating elective courses. The position includes requirements for teaching, making course curriculum updates, supporting program initiatives, participating in professional development, and/or course development as needed.
PDL Marketing Course Developer and Instructor
The Adjunct Teaching Specialist is a temporary (per course), part-time, non-tenured position for our Professional Development and Lifelong Learning Programs. The Marketing Certificate Course Developer will be responsible for developing and teaching one or more of the following course topics:
- Marketing Analytics and Strategic Applications
- Introduction to Digital Marketing Strategy and Planning
- Social Media Marketing and Content Strategy
- SEO and Analytics for Digital Marketing
- Integrated Digital Marketing Campaigns
Graduate Assistants
The College of Continuing and Professional Studies current minimum rate of pay for graduate assistant positions, when they are posted, is $27.95/hour.
