Continuous Teaching Specialist

Teaching Specialist Undergraduate Construction Management
Construction Management Teaching (CMGT) Specialists are part-time faculty responsible for CMGT course instruction as contracted by the Undergraduate Applied and Professional Studies unit in the College of Continuing and Professional Studies. CMGT Teaching Specialists report to the faculty director of the CMGT program and are typically employed on a semester-by-semester basis to teach at least once in an academic year in either a full semester (14 week) or half-semester (7 week) course, and in a few cases, once every two years with rotating elective courses. The position includes requirements for teaching, making course curriculum updates, supporting program initiatives, participating in professional development, and/or course development as needed.
Academic Technologist 2
The Academic Technologist 2 position supports the work of faculty and the Academic Technology and Design (ATD) team in the development and production of online, blended, and traditional courses. The position is responsible for creation and delivery of courses in the Learning Management System, serving as a faculty resource for consultation and training on course delivery and academic technologies, and staying abreast of emerging technologies and their uses in distance delivery of courses.
Instructional Designer
The Instructional Designer assists in designing, developing, and revising education-based solutions, primarily interactive, media-rich, Web-based courses and training. The Instructional Designer will collaborate as a member of a design team, but independently act as project lead on multiple design projects that are assigned to the Academic Technology & Design (ATD) team and is expected to coordinate and facilitate the production of courses and projects within set production deadlines. A successful candidate for this position will be able to clearly articulate their design and development approach, both in theory and application. The successful candidate demonstrates a passion for education, best practices for active learning, and thrives in a rapidly and evolving field. This position reports to the Director of Academic Technology & Design.
Data Analytics Course Developer Instructor
The Data Analytics Course Developer Instructor is a temporary (per course), part-time, nontenured position for our Professional Development and Lifelong Learning Programs. The role will be responsible for developing and teaching one or more of the following course topics:
- Database Fundamentals for Data Analytics
- Business Intelligence Reporting
- Data Analytics Programming
- Data Analytics for Decision Support
They will collaborate with an instructional designer and program manager to develop six-week noncredit course(s) during the first approximately six months of the position. Course development typically takes six months, with the first course offering taking place shortly after development ends.
Executive Director of Marketing and Enrollment Management
The Executive Director of Marketing and Enrollment Management leads the College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) Marketing and Enrollment Management team. They partner with college leadership to establish strategic direction, drive key marketing and enrollment initiatives, cultivate a strong brand identity, and align resources with CCAPS' goals and priorities. This role reports directly to the dean of CCAPS.
Program Leads
Program Leads are temporary, part-time, non-tenured positions for our Professional Development and Lifelong Learning Programs. The Program Lead is responsible for aligning the program with the skill needs in the program’s industry or occupation. This will include participating in interviews with other industry experts, recommending program-level curriculum (e.g., program name, program description, program outcomes, outcomes for the courses that comprise the program), participating in course developer and instructor search committees, advising course developers and instructors, and recommending program and course revisions.
