About This Course

Long-term care organizations navigate a landscape of continuously evolving policies and regulations. Leaders play a crucial role in advocating for stakeholders within these systems, including older adults, employees, and families. In this course, students will examine current policies and regulations and analyze their effect on these groups. Emphasis will be placed on frameworks for advocacy and systems change. Students will apply a policy analysis framework to a relevant issue and create an advocacy platform aimed at influencing an existing policy or regulation.
