Michael Gendernalik

Michael Gendernalik, MSW, LGSW, CSE, (they/them) is a social worker and the Education Specialist at the Institute for Sexual and Gender Health. Michael has worked in public schools, universities, the nonprofit sector, as well as in HIV/STI clinics where they provided direct care to community members and developed and implemented sexuality education curriculum. Michael’s interests are sex positive, queer, gender expansive, and culturally humble approaches to health care and sexuality education. Michael is also deeply interested in harm reduction and HIV/STI care in queer communities. Michael obtained their master in social work at Washington University in St. Louis where they concentrated in practice with children, youth, and families, as well as specialized in sexual health and education. Additionally, Michael is an AASECT Certified Sexuality Educator and is a LGSW in Minnesota.
