Mike Marshall has 30 years of experience on software development teams as an individual contributor, technical lead, software architect and engineering manager. He has deployed a wide range of real-world desktop, web and distributed systems for aerospace and defense, commercial, and government customers. He has also served as security team lead and security champion across many products — identifying, reviewing and strengthening the security profile of the applications and mentoring team members on secure programming best practices. Mike brings all this experience to a guided series of lectures, labs and projects that will help students understand core web development languages, practices and techniques and build a core set of skills that will enable them to immediately contribute to real-world web-based software development projects and teams.
