Nimra Chowdhry is a public interest attorney with experience in federal, state and local policy, advocating for pregnant people, people of color, young people and immigrants. She serves as a Senior State Legislative Counsel at the Center for Reproductive Rights, focusing on state regulations and legislation affecting abortion care nationwide and also serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at NYU Wagner. Nimra began her career at the National Asian Pacific American Women’s Forum, advancing reproductive rights and justice policies for Asian American and Pacific Islander communities, from local ordinances to congressional efforts. Before joining the Center, she worked at Advocates for Youth on sexual health issues affecting young people, including reproductive rights, HIV policy, LGBTQ health and religious liberties.
