Ryan Armbruster is a seasoned healthcare innovator and educator. As Senior Fellow and Director of Healthcare Administration Executive Studies in the School of Public Health at the University of Minnesota, he is dedicated to shaping the future of healthcare leadership. 

With nearly three decades of experience, Ryan has pioneered human-centered design and innovation at organizations such as UnitedHealth Group and Mayo Clinic. His award-winning work has transformed patient experiences and driven industry-wide change. Ryan’s expertise lies in building organizational innovation capabilities and designing and delivering innovative healthcare solutions. 

As the founder and director of the SPARC Design Lab at Mayo Clinic, he fostered a culture of innovation and creativity, empowering healthcare professionals to reimagine patient care. This program provided the foundation and catalyst for Mayo Clinic’s Center for Innovation.
