Teri Wallis is an experienced finance and accounting executive and professional. Her background brings depth and breadth of knowledge and experience in the areas of finance and accounting, financial forecasting and budgeting, strategy and execution, and the development of leaders. With 27 years of practical, real-life experience, she is known for building trusted and respected relationships and making sound business decisions.
Teri has worked in electric and gas utilities, healthcare, and public accounting. She has 17 years of experience as a chief financial officer in utility organizations and another five years as a national-level regional vice president of utility financing. In 2018, she founded Terilyn Wallis Consulting, where she develops and delivers educational programs to industry associations and individual businesses, and provides consulting services and custom developed programs to utilities. Teri is an instructor at Willamette University in the Utility Management Certificate Program, where she develops and delivers financial and strategic topics to students who are seeking to advance their leadership roles within their utilities and the industry. When it comes to the classroom, Teri is committed to the development and success of her students, connecting knowledge and skills to practical applications. She holds a doctorate degree in adult education, an MBA in Finance, and a BS in Accounting.
Teri instructs Finance Fundamentals, Budget Management, and Financial Forecasting and Modeling. She also presented the webinar "Finance Fundamentals for Better Decision-Making."
