'Sí, se puede,' which is translated as 'yes, we can.' I love it because it reminds us that we can not give up, it is possible."
Patricia Izek is the director of diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility at the University of Minnesota Libraries. She presents on topics of diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility across the university, including the Equity and Diversity Certificate workshop on implicit bias in the search process.
Previously, Patricia worked as an equity, diversity and inclusion consultant, talent acquisition consultant and diversity recruiter for the university's Office of Human Resources. She also served as a paralegal in the Office of the General Counsel and headed the Spanish department at a local private school.
Patricia holds a bachelor's degree in history from Loyola University Chicago and a master's degree in human resource development from the University of Minnesota.
