Quantitative and Qualitative Researcher and Program Evaluator

Ellen Squires is a quantitative and qualitative researcher and program evaluator using data to drive positive change. She strives to distill data into compelling stories that speak to a wide variety of audiences and that effectively bring new issues and insights to light. As a researcher and evaluator in philanthropy, she conducts and facilitates research projects both to inform programmatic and strategic directions and to advance a mission of building strong communities by elevating community voice.

Ellen has a Master of Public Health in health metrics and evaluation from the University of Washington and a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Environmental Studies from St. Olaf College. She has held positions in global health research, health policy analysis, program evaluation, and philanthropy. 

Ellen teaches Data Interpretation and Application and Data Storytelling for the College of Continuing and Professional Studies. She also developed and presented the webinar "Crafting a Compelling Data Story."
