1. CCAPS Learner Survey

CCAPS conducts a survey of all undergraduate students every two years to measure their reasons for studying and satisfaction with CCAPS. The college reviews responses to track the satisfaction over time, and the effectiveness of college strategies and initiatives.  The most recent survey took place in fall 2024.

Detailed Results for Undergraduate Students

Results from the questions which relate to CCAPS undergraduate staff, including advising, are presented below.

In 2025, 69% of students felt satisfied or very satisfied with staff interactions helping academic planning.  59% were satisfied or very satisfied with opportunities to interact with faculty about career interests, and 51% were satisfied or very satisfied with mentorship opportunities.

2. Student Experience in the Research University Survey

As noted above, the SERU survey is a comprehensive national survey administered to all undergraduates at the UMNTC. The survey asks students about their satisfaction with departmental advising. Results from the spring 2024 SERU survey are shown below.

As indicated, the majority (70%) of our students are satisfied or very satisfied with our academic advising.
