Midlife presents a profound invitation of self-discovery and reinvention. It's a time to step back from the busyness of life and think about the bigger questions of meaning, purpose, connection, and contribution.
If you are feeling the pull for something more—a greater sense of direction, deeper satisfaction, or a legacy that truly matters—this course is for you.
What You Will Discover
This course focuses on these outcomes:
- Unearthing What’s Most Important to You: Reconnect with your deepest values and identify the central motivations that drive you.
- Reclaiming Your Narrative: Identify stories and scripts that no longer serve you. Examine the powerful wisdom gained from your past experiences and turn them into fuel for your future.
- Exploring Impact: Hone in on ways that you can use your wisdom, skills, and interests to make a difference.
- Social Connection: Explore the importance of building and maintaining social connection and consider how you might find communities that can support you in living a purpose-filled life— all while connecting meaningfully with others in the class.
- Starting Small: Explore ways that purpose can be woven into your daily life, in how you show up in your family, community, and the world.
The course is led by experienced facilitator Megan Voorhees who will use human-centered design principles and a wide range of reflective and interactive activities to help you meaningfully reflect, explore, and connect with others at a similar life stage. You will receive a Reflection Workbook, and benefit from an interactive course with multiple guest speakers, small-group discussions, and weekly assignments (including readings and “experiments”) .
