About This Course

The Information Technology space has never been more exciting! Explore the wide array of technology career paths available to you by digging into seven unique information technology tracks. Students expand their scope of understanding by learning about each unique technology track, including subjects like cybersecurity, DevOps, and data science. By spending time reflecting on their interest levels and the future of that track within the modern workplace, students gain perspective on what they want to do professionally and how they want to shape their degree. Focus is placed on real-world, applied IT work, and students are exposed to professionals who lend insight on any given IT track. This course includes a report for which students interview a technology professional working in an area they aspire to in today’s technology sector.

Scott Lee-Eichenwald has diverse professional experience in social sciences and medical technology, with over 20+ years with medical devices companies including Guidant, Boston Scientific, Medtronic, and Smiths Medical. He also has experience providing enterprise interoperability software solutions for Infor's health care division. He has managed research and development and many global technology implementation projects. In addition, he has been teaching online for 15+ years. He is published in Healthcare Information Technology and received his Six Sigma Green Belt certification from the University of Saint Thomas in 2012. Scott holds an Information Systems Security Certificate from Colorado Technical University.
