The Minnesota English Language Program offers free, one-on-one English as a Second Language support to multilingual undergraduate students at the University of Minnesota.
Our consultants are available for 45-minute appointments in person or online via Zoom, during which you will be provided with support to improve:
- Speaking: Conversation practice, class discussion skills, pronunciation
- Listening: Strategies to understand lectures or classmates, note-taking
- Reading: Strategies to read class texts, vocabulary building
- Writing: Analyzing assignments, organizing ideas, editing grammar
- Nonacademic English skills: American culture, social life
