OLLI Midlife Transition Course Developer/Instructor

The Adjunct Teaching Specialist is a temporary (per course), part-time, non-tenured position for our Professional Development and Lifelong Learning Programs. The Adjunct Teaching Specialist will be responsible for developing the first course in a series focused on mid-to-late career and life transitions.

The Adjunct Teaching Specialist will collaborate with an instructional designer and program manager to develop a six-week noncredit course during the first approximately six months of the position.

After developing the course, the Adjunct Teaching Specialist will teach the course using the developed curriculum. The course meets live, with six two-hour in person sessions, and six one-hour Zoom sessions. The course will also include asynchronous learning through the university’s learning management system, Canvas. This course is highly experiential, and will include facilitated discussions and nurturing of a cohort group experience. The Adjunct Teaching Specialist will need to develop materials and exercises, as well as create an environment that promotes reflection, open sharing, and interaction.

Dates have been set for the first offering of this series: Tuesday, May 6 – Thursday, June 12, 2025. The cohort will meet in person on campus on Tuesdays, 6–8 p.m. (5–6 p.m. networking) and via Zoom on Thursdays, 6–7 p.m.

During the instructional phase of this position, the Adjunct Teaching Specialist is expected to be engaged and available for a total of 14 weeks, including the three weeks prior to the course start date and three weeks after the course end date.

Sr. Project Manager – Office of the Dean

The Sr. Project Manager – Office of the Dean of the College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) works collaboratively as a member of the College’s senior staff team to manage and advance strategic projects, processes, and initiatives that support the work plan and responsibilities of the College. Additionally, the position manages the operations of the office of the dean and provides administrative support. To effectively perform this role, the incumbent develops subject matter expertise in areas of designated responsibility and maintains ongoing communication and collaboration with the College, staff colleagues, and key stakeholders across the University. This position provides strategic advice and guidance , possesses a high level of integrity, with a focus on excellence, and demonstrates discretion in sensitive and confidential matters.

This is a 100% time P&A position. Normal work hours are Monday through Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 5 p.m. This position reports to the Dean, and given the nature of the work, is expected to be on university premises four days/week.

PDL Finance Fundamentals Course Developer and Instructor

The Adjunct Teaching Specialist is a temporary (per course), part-time, non-tenured position for our Professional Development and Lifelong learning Programs. They will collaborate with an instructional designer and program manager to develop the 4-week non-credit course during the first approximately six months of the position.

After developing the course, the Adjunct Teaching Specialist will teach the course using the developed curriculum. The course is fully online and uses a blend of synchronous and asynchronous instructional methods. Live instruction is done through a weekly Zoom session. Asynchronous instruction is done through the university’s learning management system, Canvas.

The course will last four weeks. During the instructional phase of this position, the Adjunct Teaching Specialist is expected to be engaged and available for a total of ten weeks, including the three weeks prior to the course start date and three weeks after the course end date.

This position offers a flexible work arrangement as a fully remote position and has the unique opportunity to help shape and be responsible for the learner experience.

Executive Director, Finance

The College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) at the University of Minnesota has a large and diverse portfolio of program offerings. They encompass undergraduate and master’s degree programs, professional development offerings for practitioners through courses, conferences, and contract learning, pre‐college programs for high school students (concurrent enrollment and PSEO), and lifelong learning for personal enrichment. The Executive Director, Finance for CCAPS oversees an extensive range of transactions related to developing, marketing, and delivering the programs, and provides financial information to guide investment decisions related to adding, expanding, or reducing programs. The Executive Director, Finance is responsible for maintaining effective accounting practices and procedures, and provides leadership for a culture of strong internal controls that ensures compliance with University procedures and integrity with respect to all stakeholders. The position will lead the College by acting as a good resource steward, providing the financial guidance and tools that feed the entrepreneurial spirit throughout the college, and as a strategist to lead the financial future direction of the College.
