1) Evidence-based Leadership
Practice evidence-based leadership to ensure excellent health services outcomes.
1.1) Create (Examine) a culture that embraces professionalism, ethics, and change, and inspires innovation, productivity, and teamwork.
  1.2) Design (Evaluate) a health services work environment that drives quality results and manages business, compliance, and customer risks. 
  1.3) Use reasoning, research, and analysis to solve problems and to make sound data driven decisions.
  1.4) Apply leadership principles to achieve high-quality, safe, timely, people-centric care within the health services environment.
  1.5) Evaluate and utilize the key components of the US health care system and health systems globally to deliver excellent integrative health services.
2) Management
Leverage sound business principles and technology to guide day-to-day operational, strategic, and  clinical decisions that ensure delivery of value-based health care.
2.1) Practice effective quality improvement, economic, accounting, financial, and risk-management principles.
  2.2) Apply fundamental concepts of operations management.
  2.3) Develop, leverage, and manage human capital in achieving operational and strategic goals.

3) Communication and Collaboration
Communicate and collaborate within and among disciplines, health services, and communities to transform patient care, improve health and add value.
3.1) Demonstrate clear communication using a variety of strategies, including writing, speaking, and listening with emotional intelligence.
  3.2) Develop, leverage, and sustain relationships to improve health within organizations and communities.
  3.3) Demonstrate collaboration and integration among health services organizations and disciplines.

4) Strategic and Business Planning
Formulate business plans to achieve organizational goals within the market it operates and  aligned with health policy, governance, and regulatory/legal entities.
4.1) Articulate the core purpose, goals, and values of a health services organization.
  4.2) Understand, formulate, and implement core components of a strategic business plan, which includes sound market and financial analysis.
  4.3) Align the strategic business plan with health care, legal, and regulatory policies.
  4.4) Compare business plan outcomes with its strategic goals in order to measure its impact.
  4.5) Review and update plans to stay relevant. 
5) Innovation
Combine system and design thinking to deliver innovative and integrative health services.
5.1) Apply the principles of innovation and design to drive innovation, to formulate strategies, and to deliver new models of care.
  5.2) Employ systems thinking within a complex health system.
  5.3) Examine the role and principles of integrative medicine within a holistic health system.
  5.4) Demonstrate strategic thinking, continual improvement, and change management skills.
  5.5) Use entrepreneurial skills to enhance improve services and the organization.
6) Ethics and Responsibility Promote ethics and social responsibility at all levels of health services and management. 6.1) Advocate ethical behavior and decision-making and demonstrate moral leadership as a health services manager.
