Megan earned her BA in psychology from the University of Northern Iowa in 1999 and her MA in counseling psychology from the University of St. Thomas in 2002. Megan has been advising in CCAPS since 2004 and currently advises for the Inter-College Program and the Health and Wellbeing Sciences majors. Megan is a 2017 recipient of the John Tate Award for Excellence in Undergraduate Advising, which recognizes high-quality advising at the University of Minnesota. She has a passion for social justice and advocacy for marginalized groups, and she brings this lens to her work with students. Megan co-teaches CSPH 3211: Living on Purpose: An Exploration of Self, Purpose, and Community, a course designed to allow students to reflect and explore how their studies, work, and community engagement contribute to a purposeful life.
