Matt Sherwood
Director of Academic and Information Technology

Matt Sherwood is the Director of Academic and Information Technology for the College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS). In this role, Matt provides strategic vision, direction, and leadership for all aspects of academic and information technology that support CCAPS’s diverse portfolio of noncredit- and credit-based higher education and affiliate programs.

Prior to joining the University, Matt worked in many sectors including health care, financial, municipalities, and consulting in both for-profit and not-for-profit organizations. He has more than 20 years of experience in IT, with background ranging from tech support to infrastructure. The prospect of leading an organization through technological change and transformation energizes him and keeps him busy. Matt loves to ask questions and is driven to understand what people are trying to accomplish so that he can help them overcome challenges and achieve goals. He does this by applying process, project management, and technology tools.
