Valerie Lockhart is a digital strategist, educator, and communications expert with over a decade of experience helping entrepreneurs, nonprofits, and organizations tell their stories online. She is passionate about helping others communicate with clarity, confidence, and impact in a digital world. 

As executive director of Minnesota Women in Tech and the Minnesota Tech Network, she specializes in accessible, audience-focused content strategy. In addition to running MTN.org, Valerie serves as vice-chair on the board of directors for Minnestar.org, and is also chair of their marketing committee for their annual events like Minnebar and Minnedemo, highlighting the innovation and creativity of our tech community across Minnesota. She is also Google Workspace Certified and has been training folks on optimizing their use of those applications for the last 10 years. 

In addition to her communications work, Valerie has also spent the last three years developing curriculum and training individuals in the responsible use of AI and how to get better at prompting large language models. She brings a practical, real-world approach to her teaching, guiding students to craft authentic, user-centered content that reflects their voice and purpose. 

Valerie instructs Writing for the Web and AI for Productivity for CCAPS. She presented the webinar "Why AI Fails and How to Fix It."
