Hi, I’m Jeff Olsen Krengel, an enrollment advisor here in the College of Continuing and Professional Studies. And I’d like to talk to you about one of our individualized programs, the Inter-College Program.

The ICP degree empowers students to build a customized undergraduate degree that meets their needs and to use their previously earned credits. Maybe you haven’t been able to find a major that matches your interests, or maybe you want to study more than one academic discipline. Then the ICP major could be a perfect fit. With the ICP degree, you’re not limited to one college or academic department. You’ll be able to take courses from across the University based on your interests.

ICP students have studied a wide combination of subjects, such as:

  • Management and sustainability studies
  • Applied business and communication
  • Public health and social justice
  • Computer science and life sciences
  • Sociology and youth studies
  • Architectural studies and construction management, and
  • Applied business and product design

...just to name a few of the options available.

You'll work closely with your advisor through the required Proposal Development Seminar to design your degree. And that’s what really makes the ICP degree unique. This program is all about listening to you and your goals and your definition of success.

Along the way, you’ll have access to all the resources the University has to offer, such as: help with academic skills, mental health services, veterans services , disability resources, technology assistance, support for students who are parents, tutoring, and much more.

We know the University is a big place. But CCAPS is a community. And we’re committed to providing a quality education and an inclusive experience for everyone. So if you’re interested in learning more about the Inter-College Program degree, connect with me to start the conversation. I look forward to talking with you.
