In 2019, Minnesota passed historic regulatory reform creating a new assisted living license. Included in that reform is a new requirement that communities be led by a Licensed Assisted Living Director (LALD). The University of Minnesota offers an affordable, online course to meet the LALD requirements.
Management in Assisted Living and Senior Care Settings can be registered for at the undergraduate level (HSM 4586) or the graduate level (HSM 6586) to meet your educational needs.
This is a 3-credit, fully online course that offers a 14-week module format taught by experts in senior care.
- Nondegree-seeking students may set up a free University account to register.
