As student-athletes on the University of Minnesota women’s hockey team, sisters Audrey and Madeline Wethington juggle their studies and hockey with finesse. From playing in the Frozen Four together to the animal behavior lab, they are linked not only by blood but by their love of the game and commitment to their studies.

Next semester, they will even share a graduate program. Madeline recently began her Master of Biological Sciences degree, and Audrey will follow in her older sister's footsteps in fall 2024.

“Our priority is to be students," says Madeline. "We’re here to get a degree first and foremost, and secondarily to play hockey."
