Patricia Izek, MEd., is the Director of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion & Accessibility at the University of Minnesota Libraries. She presents on topics of diversity, equity, inclusion, and accessibility for units across the University, including the Equity and Diversity Certificate workshop: Implicit Bias in the Search Process.
Previously, Patricia was an equity, diversity, & inclusion consultant, talent acquisition consultant as well as a diversity and inclusion recruiter for the Office of Human Resources at the University. She also worked as a paralegal in the Office of the General Counsel at the University and was head of the Spanish Department at a private school in the metro area. Throughout her career she has maintained a focus on furthering the understanding and importance of the issues of diversity, equity, inclusion and accessibility.
Patricia holds a bachelor's in history from Loyola University of Chicago and a Master of Education from the University of Minnesota in Human Resource Development.
