Dick DeBlieck is President of Summit Management Consulting Services, LLC. Summit Management offers strategic and project planning, leadership and organizational development, and related consulting services to client organizations, ranging from small and medium size fast-growing organizations to Fortune 500 firms. Dick’s role is to help client organizations manage projects, plans and people. Dick offers a variety of other leadership development programs including collaboration, organizing and planning work, negotiation, conflict management, and team leadership skills. 

Dick has worked with organizations in the manufacturing, high tech, food, health care, utility, retail, hospitality, and financial industries. His extensive client list encompasses every letter of the alphabet from A to Z. His planning services guide executive and project teams through the process of planning as well as creating effective execution through portfolio, program and project management disciplines. 

Dick’s career in the field of project management spans 40+ years. From individual contributor he progressed to project manager with EMS/ McGraw Hill, where he led some of the company’s largest and most successful projects. He eventually managed both the finance and human resource functions for the company—a position from which he oversaw the organization’s portfolio of projects. He holds an M.B.A. degree from the University of Minnesota with specializations in management and finance. 

Dick has been teaching project management and leadership at the University of Minnesota’s College of Continuing and Professional Studies (CCAPS) since 2004. He presented the webinar Think and Act Strategically and instructs these courses:
