At this point, you should have uploaded videos into Kaltura Mediaspace. With those videos you may want to place them in the context of your Canvas course.

In this example we are adding a video to a module overview. In principle, you can add embedded Kaltura videos into pages, your syllabus or the description area for assignments, quizzes and discussions. Any place the rich content editor can be used, a Kaltura video can be embedded.
 

Step 1: Go to Edit Content

First navigate to the page, syllabus, assignment, quiz or discussion where you want to embed the video . On the top right corner, click on the Edit button.

Step 2: Clear Space for Embed

When adding a video, make a new space to place the video. This way the embedded video can have it’s own line without shifting other content in unintended ways. Place the flashing text cursor where you want the embedded video to appear.

In the Rich Content Editor’s toolbar, click on the icon that looks like a colorful wheel. This is the Kaltura Video Embed icon.

Step 3: Select More Media Options

A window will appear with four options. Click on the option More Media Options.

Step 4: Select Video to Embed

A list showing all the videos from your Kaltura Mediaspace My Media list will appear. You can use the search bar to find the video or scroll through them to find the video you want to embed. Once you have found the video, click on the Embed button to the immediate right of the video thumbnail.

Step 5: Evaluate and Save Content

The embedded video will now appear in the Rich Content Editor viewer. If you don’t like where it is placed you can edit around the video or click the Cancel button and retry again.

If you are happy with the results, click on the blue Save button to save your content with the embedded video.

You have just embedded your own video! Students should now be able to see the video in the content of their Canvas course.
